Sales/Customer Support Representative

Location: Graniteville, Vermont
Position: Full Time

The Sales/Customer Support Representative sells and services Rock of Ages wholesale memorial products to memorial retail dealers over the telephone or electronically by performing the following duties:

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for servicing assigned accounts and backing up other Sales/Customer service representatives.
    • Servicing of accounts to include:
      • Providing order status and information.
      • Collecting all data required to process an order, including design information.
      • Primary point of contact for any information to be collected or disseminated.
      • Oversight of receivables for assigned accounts.
      • Regular and consistent contact with accounts.
      • Grow, develop, and maintain business relationships.
      • Visit assigned accounts as authorized and needed.
    • Handles inbound and makes outbound sales calls.
    • Consult with Production Manager to estimates date of delivery to customer.
    • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders for input into the company order system.
    • Ensures timely and accurate entry of new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database and CRM software.
    • Tracks orders through the manufacturing and delivery process.
    • Works with other sales representatives to keep account information up to date.
    • Solicits post-sale feedback from customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Endeavor to exceed sales targets and goals.
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or customer service environment preferred.
  • Highly effective communication skills – oral, written and group.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing customers.
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work well with others and to accept input and direction.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time and to attend conferences and conventions.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers, office machines and MS Office is required.

OTHER CAPABILITIES:

  • Positive, “can-do” and “customer first” attitudes are a must.
  • Excellent telephone, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • A valid driver’s license for business travel.
  • The ability and documentation to legally travel into Canada.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to work the hours necessary to get the job done.
  • Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
