Maintenance Technician
Location: Barre, VT
Position: Full Time
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic production team at Rock of Ages in Barre, VT. Our skilled craftsmen and craftswomen extract, cut, and transform stone to create beautiful granite products for customers in the U.S. and abroad. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facility equipment to ensure smooth operations. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with safety, attention to detail, and reliability being top priorities. Maintenance Technician:
- Repairs and performs preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities including the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Performs PMs on all production equipment as assigned
- Performs routine safety inspections of shop equipment
- Helps maintain an inventory of parts and lubricants
- Maintains a clean and organized working area
- Follows all industry safety practices, fall protection, lock-out tag-out and NFP70E
- Performs other routine duties as assigned
Job Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities, including diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct routine safety inspections of shop equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of parts and lubricants.
- Keep the working area clean and organized.
- Follow all industry safety practices, including fall protection, lock-out tag-out, and NFP70E.
- Carry out other routine duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Maintenance Tech School Training and/or on-the-job training is a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing maintenance position is preferred, but all levels of experience will be considered.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with motor controls and PLC troubleshooting is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA compliance matters.
- Professionalism in a collaborative work environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Fabrication, welding, manual mill, and lathe experience is a plus.
- Experience using maintenance management software is a plus.
